The Atacama Sideboard is inspired by the vastness and dramatic variations of the Atacama Desert, one of the most extreme environments on the planet. Characterized by its highs and lows, immense aridity, and deep contrasts with the elevated horizon, this desert serves as a metaphor for the duality of the human experience — the balance between immense challenges and moments of serenity.
The design of the sideboard reflects these contrasting layers. The robust forms, combined with lines that evoke the undulations of the arid terrain and towering peaks, create a piece that conveys both the strength and softness of the desert. The wood, meticulously crafted, honors the desert's resilience, while the metallic and textured finishes reflect the interplay of elements that shape this unique landscape.
